Alice in Wonderland at Valley Crossing Community School
Prepare to venture down the rabbit hole and meet some of the most colorful characters in children’s literature when students from Valley Crossing Community School present Alice in Wonderland with the help of Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre (PFCT).
The students will audition for parts on Monday February 11 and present a full blown musical without the use of scripts by the week’s end.
The performances will be Friday February 15 at 7:00 and again Saturday February 16 at 2:00 pm. The production will take place at the school which is located at 9900 Park Crossing, Woodbury, MN. Tickets are $4 in advance and $5 at the door with children 5 and under free.
Ben Gibson and Brittany Hazelvine, professional actors from PFCT, will play the roles of the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts.
They will spend a week in residency guiding the students through the preparation. They will cast the students and work with them on script memorization and choreography of the original musical and script written by Daniel Nordquist and Deborah Nelson Pick, the traveling theatre’s founder and executive director.
Hop on over to Valley Crossing and enjoy one of the performances.
