East Metro Symphony Orchestra Partners with Big Bend in the River Band!

The East Metro Symphony Orchestra (EMSO) joins Bend in the River Big Band (BRBB) in an exciting and unique performance celebrating classic swing and jazz music of the 20th century.  

“Sounds of Swing” will be held Sunday, March 3, 2 p.m. at East Ridge High School in Woodbury.

This fun, family-friendly event will include sets performed by BRBB of classic tunes from the big band era, a lush medley of Duke Ellington music for symphony orchestra presented by EMSO, and joint performances of beautiful ballads and a rollicking salute to the big bands of yesterday. Audience members will be invited to dance along with some of the great big band selections.

East Ridge High School is located at 4200 Pioneer Drive in Woodbury and offers ample free parking and handicapped accessible seating.  

Tickets are available at the door: $10 adults, $8 seniors, $6 senior groups of 10 or more, ages 18 and under are free.  For more information visit www.facebook.com/emsorch or email info@emsorch.org.
