Business student chosen to attend national sales meeting based on strength of essay

Globe University-Woodbury business student Patrick Wirkus was selected to attend Pearson Learning Solutions’ national sales meeting in San Diego, Calif. Wirkus was selected on the strength of his essay, which explained why he should be selected.

“The Pearson team looks forward to have Patrick represent our program to the sales organization,” said Andrea Shaw, Pearson Learning Solutions Marketing Program Director. “Patrick exemplifies true excellence and we are confident he will represent Globe University-Woodbury and Pearson well.”

The Pearson Campus Ambassador program provides students with practical work experience as they collaborate with faculty, other students and Pearson professionals to shape existing and future programs and services. More
than 100 public and private sector higher education institutions participate in the Campus Ambassador program.

University.”

Pearson Campus Ambassadors commit to a minimum of six months of service and assist with a variety of activities, including market research into service learning initiatives at their schools; evaluate new Pearson offerings that tackle recruiting and placement issues; contributing to Pearson’s blog to share student perspectives; and assiste with initiatives that demonstrate improved effectiveness and outcomes to institutions in support of federal standards.
