Relay for Life of South Washington County to Host an Open House

Woodbury, MN-On Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at 6:30pm, The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of South Washington County will host an open house at East Ridge High School! Team captains and members, old and new, are welcome, as are individuals who may be interested in joining a team and getting more information about Relay.
If you are a team captain, come by and pick up a team packet and get valuable information to start or enhance your team’s fundraising! If you and your team are new to Relay, come by and meet our friendly and knowledgeable committee members and get your questions answered. If your team has already started collecting money, you can drop that off as well. Enter through the Activity Center entrance of East Ridge and join us up the stairs.
Our Planning Committee will be having a meeting right after the open house at 7:00pm, so if you are interested in joining the committee, we invite you to stick around!
Last year, our Relay was the number one Relay in Minnesota! We had over 900 “Relayers” from 100 teams who raised just over $218,000, and we are hoping to beat our own record this year! This year’s Relay will take place from Friday, June 3rd 2011 at 6:00pm to Saturday, June 4th 2011 at 9:00am. All activities and camping will take place at East Ridge High School.
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is an emotional community event that brings together more that 3.5 million people every year to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and empower participants to fight back against a disease that takes so much from so many. Relay for Life events raise more money to fight all types of cancer than any other fundraiser worldwide.
East Ridge High School provides a centralized location for the Relay, but all district schools and neighborhoods will be involved. East Ridge is located at 4200 Pioneer Drive, Woodbury, MN 55129.
