The Woodbury VFW Post 9024 wishes to thank the residents and the businesses of the City of Woodbury for their generous support. During the weekend of May 20th & 21st 2011, local businesses allowed us use of their facilities to accept donations from the public while we handed out the VFW Red Poppies. Thank you to everyone involved.
As a reminder, we have a year round collection site at Valley Creek Mall for accepting aluminum cans for our “Cans for College” program. The “Cans for College” program has done very well this year. We have a team of volunteer Veterans that work all year going to the recycling center with the donated aluminum cans from our trailer in the Valley Creek Mall parking lot. In May 2011, we were able to give out two college scholarship awards to Woodbury High School Students. “Way to support Woodbury Veterans and our students!”
