Crash on I-94 at Highway 95 Backs Up Westbound Traffic

Westbound traffic on I-94 is backed up because of a crash at Highway 95. The area already is seeing heavier than normal amounts of traffic because of the Stillwater Lift Bridge closure.

With the I-94 St. Croix River bridge in Hudson already seeing a lot of extra traffic because of the Stillwater Lift Bridge closure, a Wednesday morning crash on westbound I-94 and Highway 95 has vehicles backed up for miles in Hudson.

So was it the bridge closure that caused this accident, or an error on the part of a driver?

I haven't heard anything about the cause of the crash. I can say that the crash has contributed to the traffic backup, but traffic already was heavy because of the bridge closure.

I know, I was just teasing a bit about the implication that the accident was due to the Stillwater bridge being closed, which always seems to get those commuters riled up, and blaming Stillwater - which has nothing to do with the bridge closure.

Don't get me wrong, I hope everyone involved is okay.
