There was a lot of screaming Thursday at Woodbury’s DelMonico Dance Studio.

Instructors from the reality-television show Dance Moms: Miami came in to teach classes and take photos with students.

“They were so excited,” owner Kim DelMonico said as her pupils posed with the two instructors. “They were over the moon.”

She said the show is a hit with her students, and she’s also a fan.

“I love it,” DelMonico said. “But it’s on when I’m teaching, so have to Tivo it.”

The dance studio tries to bring in guest instructors when possible, she said, and Victor Smalley and Angel Armas brought their “inspirational” teaching style to Woodbury.

“For them it’s more about the passion and the heart in dance—not how many tricks you can do,” DelMonico said.

A publicist from Eden’s World, a reality-TV show that filmed at DelMonico Dance Studio a few months ago, told the owner that Smalley and Armas would be available. But what do they bring to dancing that DelMonico doesn’t?

“They have a TV show and thousands of fans,” she said with a laugh. “So that’s what they have that I don’t have.”
