IHOP's National Pancake Day Offers Free Pancakes for Charity

IHOP in Oakdale and other Twin Cities locations will be offering some free pancakes on Tuesday, Feb. 5. IHOP will be asking people to leave a donation for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Have you been craving some pancakes lately?

If so, you might want to mark you calendar for Feb. 5.

Oakdale's IHOP (and other Twin Cities locations) will be celebrating National Pancake Day for its eighth year to raise money for local charities. This year IHOP hopes to raise $3 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and other local charities.

From 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Feb. 5, people can enjoy a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes. In return for the free pancakes, guests will be asked to consider leaving a donation for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals or other designated local charities.

Since beginning its National Pancake Day celebration in 2006, IHOP has raised more than $10 million to support charities in its communities.

Leading up to National Pancake Day, restaurant guests can also buy “Miracle Balloons” for $1 and $5 each, with all proceeds going to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Those who buy a $5 Miracle Balloon will receive a $5 off discount that can be credited toward their next visit.
