Infidelity in Woodbury?

Cheating website ranks Woodbury No. 1 for extra-marital affairs, report says.

Are you in a loving, committed relationship?

Woodbury is the No. 1 city in the Twin Cities metro area when it comes to extra-marital affairs, according to a KDWB report from ashleymadison.com, a website that links people looking to cheat on their spouse.

“Though Minnesota may be considered the epicenter of Midwestern values, our membership has grown exponentially in the Twin Cities this summer. Despite many couples doing a great job of keeping up appearances, all is not always what it appears,” said Noel Biderman, Ashley Madison CEO, on the KDWB website.

The list, via KDWB’s post:

  1. Woodbury
  2. Edina
  3. Coon Rapids
  4. Plymouth
  5. Eagan
  6. Downtown
  7. Wayzata
  8. Minnetonka
  9. Apple Valley
  10. Maplewood

Not being a frequenter of the site, I wonder if the city is self-reported or if it is generated via zip code/phone prefix. If it is generated by zip code, then that means a bit more than someone putting in "Woodbury" because either they think it's upscale or it's large enough that people know where it is.

Ha! Not sure Eric. I hadn't heard of it until today. Saw the KDWB thing on Facebook a couple of times and someone tweeted it at me.

Sunsets Restaurant on Radio Drive: Tuesday night is swingers night in the bar area. This article doesn't surprise me at all!

So that's why people call Woodbury a bedroom community?

There is a community within Woodbury known for its swinging. If you see blue lights during non-Christmas lights, they are there for a reason other than decorating....

I always thought the blue light thing in Woodbury was a joke....I also here there is a large swingers community in Stonemill and thought that was a joke....maybe not?

Never thought I would see my husbands name while reading the responses to this article - pretty funny. Thank you for your show of support with the blue light NOT related to swinging in Woodbury.

That's been the Woodbury rep for years.

I had heard it long before we moved in (we were chided frequently and quite hilariously by friends in our old Twin Cities neighborhood when we told them where we were moving). Especially since we were moving into Stonemill Farms. Our Stonemill neighbors brought it up practically on the day we moved in (the rep, not the offer to swing).

Maybe that is why Money Magazine ranked Woodbury so high in their list of places to live?

Blue lights, Sunsets ...

Kris, buy a fake mustache and prepare to hit Sunsets on Tuesday: UNDERCOVER. You will be a "stud for hire". Splash-on a little drakkar noir to guarantee success.
We'll be waiting here to here all about it.

Just an FYI- Blue lights also signify Autism Awareness. Check out the Light it Up Blue Campaign by Autism Speaks: http://www.lightitupblue.org/Markslist/home.do

So instead of assuming your neighbors with the blue light are swingers, maybe consider they are supporting a great cause!

Thanks for all the info everyone. And @Bode, I'm not sure the wife would appreciate that kind of investigative reporting.

Heard that Stonemill is the place to be, heard of many activities that went on in that neighborhood, but what disturbed me the most is that this was done in front of kids, really people, not right!!!!!
