The city over the past several months has refined its plans for the 120,054-square-foot expansion project, which will not require the city to raise taxes.
The project also includes $500,000 in improvements to the two existing rinks, along with a third sheet of outdoor ice geared toward pleasure skating. A two-story lobby and new concession area is also part of the plans.
The opening of the new field house is planned for February or March 2014.
