A public meeting on the Woodbury Drive expansion project is set for 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, in the Birch conference room at City Hall.

Washington County is planning to expand the roadway from two lanes to four from Park Crossing to a quarter mile south of Bailey Road. Roundabouts are planned at the Lake and Bailey roads intersections.

The improvements also include concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, and turn lanes where appropriate.

The meeting is primarily for the 16 property owners who may be assessed for the project. However, any interested citizen can attend and ask questions. If the project proceeds, there will be at least one more neighborhood meeting before construction begins.

The purpose of the meeting is to share the status of planning and design activities, according to a release from the city. Because of the limited number of property owners affected, no formal presentation will be given. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and comment on the project.

Construction is expected to begin in spring 2013, with substantial completion (open to traffic) scheduled in late fall 2013.

What's the point? Like they're going to change anything?

Also, for some reason I thought the last public meeting was going to be the last one.

Are they seriously saying it is going to look like the picture above? I thought the paths weren't going to be that far from the street? I back up to this expansion and will save this picture for when it is completed. This is what I want it to look like if I'm not going to be able to get out of my land-locked development because there are two round-abouts within blocks of my only exit.
I also agree with Paul, what's the point of these meetings. They were going to do what ever they wanted before the meetings.
