Minnesota State Fair 2012 Express Bus Service Near Woodbury

If you don’t want to drive to the "The Great Minnesota Get-Together," here are some shuttle bus options close to Woodbury during the fair, Aug. 23-Sept. 3, 2012.

 

The Minnesota State Fair will provide the State Fair Express Service during the 2012 event.

Here are some of the scheduled pickup and dropoff locations, according to the Minnesota State Fair website.

Express Service Near Woodbury

Metro Transit will be providing shuttle bus service from Marcus Oakdale Theatre to the fairgrounds each day during the 2012 Minnesota State Fair. Buses will operate approximately every 30 minutes from 8 a.m. to midnight.

Other options:

  • Maplewood Mall in Maplewood. Located at 1793 Beam Ave. (near Kohl's lower level)
  • Cottage Grove Park & Ride in Cottage Grove. Located along Highway 61 on West Point Douglas Road between 80th Street and Jamaica Avenue.

Shuttle Service Details

  • The round trip fare is $5. Cash only, exact fare.
  • Children age 4 and under ride free.
  • Express buses drop off and pick up at fair Gate #20 on the south side of Como Avenue across from the Warner Coliseum.
  • All express service is wheelchair accessible.

Not sure Paul. I don't think they did last year, but I could be mistaken. And I was running the paper up in Stillwater before that.

We have been taking this bus for years. It used to pick up/ drop off in the strip mall on 10th street- right accross from Kmart. They moved when that strip mall closed down.

Why is it that there is never any way to get to the fair from Woodbury if you don't drive? They should have a way for someone to there who can't drive or doesn't have a vehicle.
