Awesome! I'm thrilled for another non-national chain option!

Somebody actually said just about the same thing on our Facebook page recently. Just posted one line: We need more family-run restaurants.

Good question Lauren. Maybe people just trend toward familiarity?

Personally, I don't care about liquor. We don't drink, and I don't like taking the kids to a place that's more bar than restaurant. Here's hoping this place fits that bill!

Personally, I think people don't realize you have to actually 'market' and sell your business. Advertising, community involvement, social media, and also have great food and service. If I don't know you exist, ( and he will not get any 'accidental ' business in that location), then I certainly won't patronize your business. But if I am not impressed, I will rarely give you a second chance either. I can say that about several local non-chain restaurants!

Advertising. I like the sound of that. (And be sure to patronize the local businesses that support Woodbury Patch.)

He had me at "breakfast will be served all day." Speaking of breakfast, it feels like a pancakes for dinner kind of night.

Ha! And hey, Vinnie said he doesn't think there is a place in Woodbury that serves breakfast skillets. I just checked the Keys and Woodbury Cafe websites and didn't see any.

I am excited to try the new place! And Kris, thanks for the tip on the hoagie club, or is it a club hoagie? at Davanni's! I have been there twice now! Great friendly service, too!

This is great news! We miss Tunicci's so much. This is a great location to stop and pick up take out dinner on the the way home from work. We can't wait to try it!!

Chains survive and family runs fail because chains can purchase in bulk where family run cannot. Kind of like Walmart. They basically name their price with suppliers where others cannot. Businesses have to have a profit to be successful. I think some forget that. There is the cost of payroll, utilities, insurance, supplies, etc. that factor into a profit. Family run businesses have this challenge. They do not have the buying power of larger chains.

Had lunch at Angelina's today. She said it would be nice to see a few restaurants go in over there. She noted her place, Vinnie's and Thanh Truc. I said it could become Woodbury's own little Eat Street.

Stoked for breakfast all day! It's impossible to get in to local places during breakfast hours on the weekend I have found, unless you want to wait up to an hour. And I love mom and pop places - not a fan of cookie-cutter chains that abound in the burbs!

Yeah, Kristen, will be nice to have that option in town. And there are plenty of times when I'm craving French toast at 7 p.m.

Ok I'm hungry reading all this. Anyone know when they open? And perhaps a website to review their menu? Can't find it online.
