Sole Mio, a new Italian restaurant going in at Woodbury’s Valley Creek Mall, should be open by early October.

On the Sole Mio Ristorante Facebook page, the owner, Angelo Montes, said the grand opening will likely be on Oct. 8. To be exact, he said he’s “90.235698” sure that will be the day, according to the post. Montes said he would post additional information in the coming days.

The opening was previously pushed back after Montes ran into construction issues, he told Patch in June.

Montes is an award-winning chef who used to oversee the kitchen at the Chianti Grill. He said he’s excited to open in Woodbury, a place he has called home since he moved to the U.S. with his family about 13 years ago.

The former Mi Familia space at the Valley Creek Mall is undergoing a complete overhaul, and when finished will feature seating for about 250 people (50 outside), a fireplace, party room and new bar. The city approved Sole Mio's liquor license in June.
