Police Report: Man with Baseball Bat on the Lookout for ‘Woodbury Gang Members’
Police learned his family had recently moved to Woodbury from Arizona.
While on routine patrol at about 1:20 p.m. on July 23, a Woodbury police officer spotted a man dressed in black carrying a baseball bat near the intersection of Lake Road and Radio Drive.
He initially told the officer he was out for a walk and had the bat with him because he felt like playing baseball, according to a police report.
On further questioning, however, he told police he was carrying the bat “in case he encountered any Woodbury gang members,” reads part of the report. “The (subject) was deceptive and not making much sense.”
An officer transported him home and spoke with his parents, who were receptive and said they had recently moved to Woodbury from Arizona.
Police also checked the area for evidence of crime, but did not find anything.

The Woodbury Heritage Society website has a page with a link to street name history compiled for us by a local Girl Scout a few years ago. www.woodburyheritage.org. Lake Road and Radio Drive is MY territory (the Heritage Garden) and I will defend it if necessary! :)
