Wild Wedding in Woodbury
One man arrested on suspicion of assault, his brother found drunk, shoeless, planning to sleep outside, according to police reports.
Woodbury police were called about two incidents involving people who attended a June 23 wedding in Woodbury.
One man was arrested on suspicion of assault, and officers later found his brother, who apparently planned to sleep outside that night, hiding in the bushes at US Bank.
According to police reports:
Officers were called on a report of a fight at the Sheraton Hotel and found an intoxicated man who had pushed and choked his stepfather.
The assault ended only after his mother and 10-year-old cousin intervened and pleaded with him to stop. He was booked at the Washington County Jail.
Police were later called about a verbal argument near the former Blockbuster location. Officers spoke with people in the area, who said there was no argument but a man was yelling into his cell phone.
Police got a description of the man and later saw him running southbound across Valley Creek Road into the U.S. Bank parking lot.
Officers learned he was at a wedding reception at Central Park, got into a dispute with family members and planned to sleep outside. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, dress pants and no shoes.
Police found him hiding in some bushes near the bank and discovered that it was his brother who had been arrested earlier at the Sheraton.
The two men are from Wisconsin.

Weddings are always such lovely occasions, aren't they?

Kind of makes my wedding reception look tame where the big incident was my new father in law yanking the cord to the music out because he did not want rap music played. The DJ came to us to ask us to help him out. My father in law is about 6'5". Kind of funny actually. Had to side with my father in law on this one.

Finally...some high-brow entertainment to read. When you consider all of the political arguments since yesterday, that can't be won...this is a refreshing story. Poor bride and groom though!

Ha! But Aaron, don’t you have any fear? You are sooo brave... For the record I love all WI people. (I’m afraid of my Wis friends) They are eye-poppin’ marvels that’s gotta be seen to be believed. That’s a compliment, Wis friends. So Kris J. is sending me off to Pulaski, Wis in a couple of weeks to report. At Pulaski Polka Days, "Polka is the Law". We should organize a bus from Woodbury to support Pulaski. Should be fun.
I expect much of the same behavior as above…and MORE (I hope).

Who will tell Woodbury residents that since turkeys are not mammals they can't be pregnant?

Came across this story on a search. And Margaret, sorry missed the "Polka is the law" thing. Beth-Ann, then what do you call a bird that is "with egg"? Honestly, I don't know.
