President Pimpin Charged with Allegedly Whipping Toddler, Assaulting Mother
President Pimpin Austin, 21, was arrested on domestic assault and malicious punishment of a child charges.
An Oakdale man suspected of whipping his 2-year-old son was booked in Washington County Jail last week for another crime involving the boy's mother.
Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Hallmark Circle North on Dec. 7 regarding a domestic assault report and possible child abuse.
President Pimpin Austin, 21, of Oakdale, allegedly assaulted a 22-year-old Oakdale woman, who is also the mother of Austin's two children. The woman told police that Austin kicked and punched her in the side and punched her in the head. Police saw visible signs of injury, according to the police report.
Austin left the residence on foot and police located him walking at 10th Street and Hadley Avenue.
Austin was arrested and taken to Washington County Jail. Austin denied the assault during a recorded Miranda interview.
Austin was booked on formal complaint charges for felony domestic assault and an order of protection violation. He was also charged with malicious punishment of a child for an incident that allegedly occurred the previous day.
The complainant told officers that Austin’s 2-year-old son was treated for multiple "whipping" injuries on Dec. 6.
The complainant said that the boy and his 3-year-old sister were voluntarily placed with their grandmother in Minneapolis and are not in any immediate danger, according to the police report.
Charges do not indicate a conviction.
