With spring break essentially underway for many Woodbury students, here’s a brief list of activities coming up in town.

Free Raptor Show

What: A live raptor show from the University of Minnesota’s Raptor Center.

When: 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 13

Where: Central Park

Cost: Free

Messiest Art Camp

What: Paint with plaster, sculpt with gooey gunk, make papier mache dragonflies and fling paint like Jackson Pollock. Making a mess is the best!

Ages: 4-9

Cost: $58

Where: Evergreen West Park

When: 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday and Friday, March 14-15

Stars on Broadway II

What: Back by popular demand, Woodbury Community Theatre’s production of Stars on Broadway II features nearly 120 of “community stars” performing songs from popular Broadway musicals, including Sound of Music, Guys & Dolls, Music Man, Oklahoma, Peter Pan, Anything Goes, 42nd Street, Annie Get Your Gun, Oliver, South Pacific, Fiddler on the Roof, and more.

When: 7 p.m., Saturday, March 16

Where: The Loft Stage at East Ridge High School

Cost: $15, and tickets are now on sale for this year’s production.  

Free Salsa and Swing Dance Lessons

What: James and Tricia Wood from Woodbury’s Dance and Entertainment will offer free lessons.

Where: Angelina’s Kitchen

When: 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 12

Cost: Just the food, with “date-night specials.”

Lookout Ridge

What: Lookout Ridge, a state-of-the-art indoor playground located on the lower level of Woodbury’s Central Park facility, is open all week.

Where: Central Park

When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday; from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. 

Cost: $5.50 per child (during District 833 spring break days)
