The Valley Creek Road construction project has been pushed back a week, according to a Thursday release from Washington County.

It's set to begin July 30.

A scheduling conflict for the contractor, McCrossan Construction, Inc., prompted the delay, said Jacob Gave, Washington County project manager.

"It's not a big deal," he said. "It doesn't really affect much."

The work is still expected to be complete by November, and there are incentives in the contract should work be completed earlier, Gave said.
