Valley Creek Road Construction to Pick Up This Week
An update on this summer's major Woodbury roadwork project.
Work on the Valley Creek Road construction project is expected to increase this week as the contractor begins paving eastbound lanes.
The seeming dearth of activity of late was due to the contractor finishing up some minor work in preparation for the paving, said Jacob Gave, project manager for Washington County.
“You’ll see a lot of activity here in the next few days,” he said.
The contractor is planning to begin paving the eastbound lanes of Valley Creek Road from Bielenberg Drive to City Centre Drive today, Tuesday, Sept. 11, then Donegal Drive to Interlachen Parkway starting Wednesday.
The eastbound lanes are expected to be finished Thursday.
Meanwhile, a traffic-control change is planned for next Monday night, according to the latest update on the project from the county.
Traffic will be routed to the newly paved eastbound lanes so the contractor can begin work on the westbound lanes.
“This should not affect your route since the traffic control will be very similar to what is currently in place,” reads a portion of the update.
The schedule is subject to change.
