What Should Go Here? Former Woodbury Tinucci’s

The deli closed during the summer of 2011. What would make sense in that space?

The Woodbury Tinucci’s closed last summer, and there has been some interest in the space at the Eagle Valley Marketplace.

Those groups have been doing their own analysis of the spot, but there’s nothing solid at this point, said Tammy Medina, a broker with Town Lake Real Estate.

What do you think should go there?

Another deli? Maybe a boutique shop? What are your ideas?

The decision to close Tinucci’s came about after a partner retired, owner Gus Tinucci told Patch in July 2011. The closure was not related to performance, he said. It had been in Woodbury for about eight and a half years before it closed.

What would you like to see there? Tell us in the comments section.

Another "full service" deli should go into that space. Like Cecils or Brother's Deli.

Another restaurant, definitely. Hopefully one similar to Tinucci's with a nice take-out menu. I still miss that place.

I was thinking an "upscale" sandwich shop or something. Maybe cheese/sandwich/deli type place. Someone on our Facebook page suggested a "cute little wine bar."

The way retail has been going in Woodbury lately, we'll probably end up with a St. Vincent DePaul thrift shop.

I had lunch at Sunsets yesterday and was amazed how busy it was. Then saw Champp's was packed. Then saw Tavern Grill opening is my most popular story... And @Paul, I actually like the St. Vincent's on West 7th. Got a nice Brooks Brothers dress shirt there once.

Jewish Deli/Restaurant would be a great addition to Woodbury. I agree with Parent of 3. Remember the one on Grand Avenue, St. Paul many years ago? We used to go every Saturday morning, if I remember correctly. I love some Jewish places. Some have such a great awareness of life in food. It stops me from just lashing it down my gob. Anyone remember the name - I miss it! It's been on the tip of my tongue since you wrote.

NAPA or Auto Zone. Some place to get car parts so I don't go "out of town" to spend my money.

Someplace where you can get a quick meal for lunch or dinner, a glass of wine or beer, and coffee in the morning! A little place for people on the east side of town to walk or bike for a bite/drink/or coffee. :)

Vegetarian/organic restaurant, featuring locally-sourced foods.

Lebanese restaurant (middle eastern food).

Since food ideas seem to reign here (sorry Diana), what about a little coffee shop in the morning, wine bar in the evening, selling local/organic/ethnic food?
