Woodbury Man Accused of Beating Woman Because She Would Not Sleep With Him
The woman suffered a fractured orbital bone and vomited several times in the presence of officers, according to the criminal complaint.
A Woodbury man faces a felony assault charge after he allegedly punched a woman in the face because she would not sleep with him.
If convicted, Antonio Lee Richardson, 23, could get up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine stemming from the Sept. 11 incident on Harvest Path in Woodbury.
Police were called to the home at about 4:30 a.m. and found a woman sitting on a couch, doubled over and crying in front of a large bowl, into which she vomited several times in the presence of officers, according to the criminal complaint. Police noted that her left eye was swollen shut and she had a scratch on her face and blood on her neck; she was also complaining of dizziness and a headache.
She told police that Richardson got angry with her because she would not have sex with him, and pulled her out of bed by her hair and told her “you are going to make me do something bad,” the complaint says.
When she resisted, he punched her in the face, according to the complaint. Richardson had left the scene before police arrived.
The woman was treated at Woodwinds Hospital, where it was determined she suffered a fractured orbital bone.
