Woodbury Man Charged For Allegedly Brandishing Pistol
The 47-year-old told his wife’s ex-husband that he would shoot him, according to the criminal complaint.
A Woodbury man was charged with making terroristic threats in Washington County District Court on July 12 after allegedly brandishing a handgun and threatening to shoot someone.
Thomas John McGillis, 47, faces up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine stemming from charges related to a July 10 incident in Woodbury.
According to the criminal complaint:
Woodbury police were called to a home at the 2400 block of Queensport Road, where the alleged victim was picking up his daughter for a visitation.
After he and his daughter went to the car, he went back to the house to speak with his ex-wife when he was confronted by McGillis, the woman’s new husband.
The man told police that McGillis became belligerent and would not let him speak with his ex-wife. At that point McGillis flashed a black handgun and told the man, “I’ll put a (expletive) bullet in your ass.”
The man left the area and called 911.
