Broken glass from a shattered door was strewn about the sidewalk in front of Teppanyaki Buffet on Thursday morning as police were investigating a report of a burglary.

A little after 9 a.m. Thursday, officers at the scene said they were waiting for the restaurant owner and didn’t have much information.

Police said the Public Safety Department got the report about a burglary at the City Center restaurant at 8:45 a.m. Thursday.

All the people who come in and out of Caribou early in the morning and it wasn't reported until 8:45 a.m.? Hope it didn't happen in broad daylight. That would be terribly bold at that location.

That was surprising to me too. I'm planning to call the PD later, but when I was there it seemed like police were just starting to investigate.
