Woodbury Preschool Hires New Educational Coordinator
Leslie Joslin comes from Knowledge Beginnings to Peace of Mind Early Education Center.
Peace of Mind Early Education Center recently hired Leslie Joslin as its new education coordinator.
Joslin, a Woodbury resident since 1998, has more than two decades of experience in the field, most recently at Knowledge Beginnings.
“It’s wonderful to have Leslie here and we are looking forward to the boundless possibilities she will bring to our early education center,” Nicole Robbins, founder of Peace of Mind Early Education Center, said in a statement.
Joslin told Patch that she appreciates the non-corporate aspect of Peace of Mind and how its teachers can tailor the classroom lesson plans to fit their students’ needs.
“The Peace of Mind atmosphere is a wonderful place where we are able to make decisions without going through corporate layers,” Joslin said in a statement. “Here it’s just us… me and the owner, and we are able to customize things to do what works best for each individual child and their family. This is something that is special about this center, and what I love about working for Peace of Mind.”
She said she’s also looking forward to helping the Woodbury school re-secure its National Association for the Education of Young Children accreditation.
Joslin began her job on Nov. 28. She is married and has two children, 19-year-old Jesse, a student at Century College, and 16-year-old Sara, a junior at Woodbury High School.
Joslin graduated from the University Wisconsin-Stout with a bachelor’s degree in child development and family life with a concentration in special education.
Peace of Mind Early Education Center is located on Tamarack Road and shares space with Footprints Academy, which was also founded by Robbins.
