Woodbury Proex to Close After All

Orders from the Woodbury store can be picked up at the National Camera Exchange in Roseville.

At this point, the sign on the window says it all:

Store closed as of 5 pm on 10/31/12

Thank you for your business

Sorry for the inconvenience

The status of the now-vacant Proex Photo & Portrait in Woodbury had been on a roller coaster since the summer, due to bankruptcy filings by its parent company, Ritz Camera & Image.

The store was set to close, then it was to stay open—along with other Proex stores in Minnesota—under new ownership.

According to the posting on the storefront, customers who need to pick up print orders can now do so at National Camera Exchange in Roseville.

Meanwhile, customers who were waiting on portrait sessions can call to get a CD from Inkley’s Camera Store. That number is: 801-486-3921.

A call into National Camera Exchange’s district manager in Golden Valley went unanswered, as well as an e-mail to the former manager of the Woodbury store.

Check out an online message for customers.

Saw a post last Wednesday or Thursday on KARE11.com from an employee, who said the supposed new buyer didn't come through. Employees were not warned of its closing either.

Wow. No wonder the manager never got back to me. Got this from your previous comment though Vicki, so I appreciate it.
