So many people are excited for this Tuesday. Many, because they hope their favorite candidates are going to win the various local, state, and federal elections.
Me? Well, I'm crazy excited only to be done with hearing and seeing political postings and ads everywhere I go.. I can't go one day on Facebook or Twitter without my friends telling me why they're voting for this candidate or that issue, and then watching the angry debates in the following comments.
In the car I am stuck with ads on the radio, or driving past hundreds of yard signs telling me who to vote for, or worse yet, the 4 or 5 political attack ads in a row during the news when all I want is to see the weather so I know how many layers I need to wear today.
Despite the fact that I only get to watch TV via my DVR because I have two toddlers and I never get to watch The Office or Modern Family while they're actually on anymore, I find myself being stuck with seeing all of the political ads even when I'm fast forwarding through the commercials. As my kids were watching Thomas and Friends the other day, I was reminded of a couple of comic strips I had done a while back regarding this very dilemma.
I used to do a daily strip for a while, and I will post them periodically on The Patch. No better time to start than now.
