Tropical Ballroom and Woodbury Parks and Recreation teamed up to offer an Outdoor Summer Dance Series here in Woodbury for the first time—all 5 Tuesday evenings in July!

The heat is not scaring everyone away—last week we had 42 people take our dance lesson, and nearly 100 people throughout the evening enjoying the live music and dancing!

Tonight is week 3 of 5, and we expect the attendance to keep growing more and more. Once you're outside for 10 minutes, you adjust to the temperature, or don't notice it when you're busy learning cool new dance moves from us!

Each of the 5 Tuesday evenings is themed a different style of music & dance. Tonight is Ballroom Night. James & Tricia Wood (my husband and I!) of Tropical Ballroom will teach a Foxtrot lesson at 6:30pm, then Tim Patrick and His Blue Eyes Band will play from 7:00-9:00pm.

Next two weeks after tonight:

Tues. July 24th, Country 2-Step lesson, then Dixie Hick's band.

Tues. July 31st, Swing lesson, then Red Rock Swing band.

All FREE, at Ojibway Park. Bring your own chair/blanket and beverage; However, our client Pathways on the Park (we put on Senior dances at their facility) will be donating bottled water for all guests tonight! Last week, even the Woodbury Puppet Wagon showed up at the park for the little kids to enjoy.
