Thanks to Platinum Bank and its employees for their $250 contribution to the "2012 in 2012" Campaign. They are the latest group to join in our campaign to raise enough money to buy 2,012 books for the Washington County Library system this year.
We have a $10,000 challenge grant. With this latest contribution, we've raised $3,000. So $7,000 more to go. That $20,000 will be enough to buy 2,012 books.
Part of our strategy is to get 16 groups to each raise $250 (or more). Do the math: that would mean $4,000. We have 5 groups so far (did I thank the Woodbury Rotary already?) — could you put together a group and make it 6?
We'd love to have your group join our campaign — but we MORE THAN HAPPY to take individual donations.Check out our website at www.librarypartners.org. And yes, your contribution is tax deductible (we're a 501(c)(3) charitable organization).
As you may know — our libraries have suffered some budget cuts, so the "2012 in 2012" campaign will help get 2012 new books on the shelves — particularly children's books and large print books for adults with limited vision.
You can contribute online or by mailing a check. Heck, one of our board members would come to your house and pick up your contribution if you like! Email us at email@example.com (or check out the website). Thanks!
