Journey to the West, a play by Mary Zimmerman, is adapted from a famous Chinese epic as translated by Anthony C. Yu.  Join Tripitaka, Monkey King, Bajie, and Sha Monk on their mystical adventures as they travel from eastern China to India, in search of enlightenment.  This play is comic, physically energetic, and thoughtful.

Journey to the West runs from December 5 through December 8 All performances are at 7:30 p.m. in the Black Box Theater at Perpich Center for Arts Education, 6125 Olson Memorial Highway, Golden Valley. Tickets are available at the door: $8 for adults; $5 for students (K-12) and seniors over age 62.
