Woodbury took the lead in new home construction last year,
but Washington Co. did very well in sales all around last year. Between
Oct 2011 and Sept. 2012 traditional sales saw greater activity then
foreclosures, which were the focus during the height of the recession. Now the
average home being valued at $245,000 is up from $235,000 a year before.
Out of 697 new construction builds in 2012, half came from Woodbury!! (48 were
built in Cottage Grove) We are definitely seeing life in new construction and
with new housing and shopping center being built off Bailey Rd, Bielenberg
Gardens, more great things are to come for Woodbury! Woodbury
