Black Friday, Santa, Reindeer: Holiday Events at Woodbury Lakes

Woodbury Lakes has announced the 2013-14 season's holiday happenings.

Halloween is over and the holiday season is right around the corner, and Woodbury Lakes recently announced upcoming events.

The outdoor mall’s holiday open house is set for Saturday, Nov. 23.

The event features reindeer sleigh rides and a live reindeer display, costumed characters, performances by the Zinghoppers, craft projects, a cookie decoration station, reading and book signing by local author Trina Dawkins Patterson of the “Cookie Movement.”

Also, WCCO meteorologist Chris Shaffer, who lives in Woodbury, will welcome Santa as he arrives on a fire truck escorted by the Woodbury Fire Department.

The event also features the lighting of Woodbury Lakes’ live 30-foot tree, and an outdoor fireworks display set to holiday music.

Santa will greet families and pose for pictures after fireworks.

The event runs from 4-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23. Santa is set to arrive at 7 p.m.

Black Friday

Woodbury Lakes has also announced its Black Friday events for Nov. 29.

There will be extended shopping hours from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. People can find a full list of store openings on the Woodbury Lakes website.

At 7 a.m., the first 300 guests to visit the courtyard between Jos. A. Bank and American Eagle will receive a free cup of McDonald’s coffee, an Egg McMuffin and a Woodbury Lakes tote bag with a store gift card.
