Doctor Practiced at Health Partners Woodbury Clinic.

The Minnesota Board of Medical Practice took action Jan. 11 against a Woodbury-based doctor accused of professional misconduct, according to a press release

The board placed conditions on the license of Dr. Kevin C. Nepsund as reprimand for "unprofessional conduct," and for "prescribing a drug for other than medically accepted purposes," the release stated.

According to records, Nepsund most recently practiced at Health Partners Woodbury Clinic within the field of family medicine.

Conditions of Nepsund’s censure call for the doctor to read the board’s policy for pain control and a book that addresses responsible opioid prescribing, according to the release.

Moreover, Nepsund is required to attend courses on chronic pain management and chemical dependency awareness, which must be followed up with an audit of his prescribing practices. He also must submit a narcotics agreement, to be used with all chronic pain patients, according to the release.
