Woodbury Looking Into Convention and Visitors Bureau

Hotels in the city would pay a tax to fund the CVB.

Woodbury could soon follow in the footsteps of Roseville, Hastings and Lakeville.

The Woodbury City Council is looking into creating a convention and visitors bureau (CVB), like some other Twin Cities suburbs, according to the Woodbury Bulletin.

The CVB feasibility study would cost $16,000, and implementing it would cost $20,000, according to the Bulletin.

The CVB would be funded with lodging taxes from Woodbury hotels.

The City Council has not approve the study, but is expected to do so in December, according to the story.
