Benilde-St. Margaret's hockey player paralyzed

The hockey community has faced yet another tragedy, as sophomore forward Jack Jablonski of Benilde-St. Margaret’s High School has been paralyzed in a freak accident during a New Year’s tournament in St. Louis Park.

According to multiple reports, Jablonski, 16, was going for a puck on the end boards when he was hit from behind by two Wayzata High School players. Jablonski bruised his spinal chord and has little feeling below his neck.

After facing a similar tragedy, the , the people of Woodbury and Cottage Grove can relate to the anguish felt by those that are close to Jablonski. We know the profound impact a calamitous event such as this can have on a community.
