Battle Creek Waterworks Holding Talk Like a Pirate Day, End of Summer "Beach" Party

Ramsey County Parks and Recreation has announced three special event days at Battle Creek Waterworks Family Aquatic Center to celebrate the end of the summer season.

Talk Like a Pirate Day will be held Friday, August 9. All guests that talk like a pirate at the admission counter will receive two dollars off each admission, and the first 100 guests ages 12 and under will receive a free eye patch.

Tuesday, August 13 will be Twilight Tuesday, where all visitors receive the twilight admission rate of five dollars all day long, no coupons required.

The water park will also throw an End of the Summer “Beach” Party on Sunday, August 18, which is the last day the facility is open for the season. The day will include special theme music, games and prizes, including a punch pass valid for the 2014 season.

Battle Creek Waterworks is located in Battle Creek Regional Park at the corner of McKnight and Lower Afton Road. The facility is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with water pump shut off at 7:45 p.m. Facility features include a zero-depth entry pool with play structure, activity pool with waterslide, and a sand play area.
