After serving 6 years in the Navy, Jeff worked as a Hennepin County Security Officer and the last 14 years as a Deputy Sheriff currently assigned to the Mental Health Transport Unit. While on vacation with his family at the end of July 2013, Jeff and his wife Kris made a run to the Emergency Room at the community hospital in Ely, Minnesota. While there and what seemed like hundreds of tests, Jeff was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer along with cancer related blood clots. Jeff is currently going through Chemotherapy every 2 weeks to fight and survive this disease.
