East Ridge Dance Team ‘Kick’ it to 3rd Place Finish at SEC Championships

The upstart East Ridge High School Dance Team took home 3rd place honors in the Suburban East Conference Championship and 5th place in the Jazz segment.

Ms. Ashley Stoffel, Co-Head Coach, “We are thrilled with the 3rd place finish in Kick.  With the pressure of the conference championship the girls turned in their best performance of the year.” 

East Ridge, was competing in just their second conference championship.  Ms. Melissa Vogler, Co-Head Coach, “This is a wonderful step forward for our program.  We are competing against school dance programs that have been established and well-funded for a long time.”    

In route to third place honors Kathryn Wamstad and Meghan Hickey were named All-Conference and Natalie Nelson received an Honorable Mention.

Up next for the ERDT will be the Simley High School Dance Team Booster Club invitation at Simley on Saturday, January, 25th, 2014.
