Schulte Recognized with Spirit of the Mission Award

Each year, Youth Service Bureau staff recognizes a colleague who contributes to positive morale and demonstrates the spirit of the YSB mission. The Spirit of the Mission award is presented to a person with a can-do attitude who exhibits enthusiasm, shares new ideas, takes on new projects, is a good representative of YSB in the community and truly cares about the work of YSB.

This year’s Spirit of the Mission award was presented to Vanessa Schulte, Community Justice Program Coordinator in their Woodbury location.

“Vanessa is the first two time winner of the Spirit of the Mission Award,” says program director Michael Huntley.  “In 2013 Vanessa played a key role in training new Community Justice staff across our organization. We were proud to see her colleagues recognize her for her time and commitment.”

Vanessa joined YSB in 2007 and leads early intervention programs for youth including educational classes, community work service programs, Teen Intervene, and restorative justice alternatives.

YSB also has offices in Cottage Grove and Stillwater where they offer a variety of programs including youth focused family counseling, educational awareness programs and chemical health support.
