Woodbury Police Explorer Program

From the city of Woodbury:

Woodbury's Public Safety Department is seeking young men and women between the ages of 14 and 21 to join the Police Explorers program. The volunteer program provides an opportunity for those interested in careers in law enforcement to learn about the field through hands-on activities that promote the growth and development of youth.

The Woodbury Public Safety Explorer posts are youth-led and supported by adult advisors dedicated to help youth develop leadership, master technical skills, engage in community service and experience the profession of public safety. It is the mission of Learning for Life to enable young people to become responsible individuals by teaching positive character traits, career development, leadership and life skills so they can make ethical choices and achieve their full potential — Woodbury Public Safety supports that mission.

Young people interested in participating can find more information and registration materials by visiting www.ci.woodbury.mn.us/employment-opportunities/215-city-jobs/1503-police-explorers.  The deadline to apply is Thursday, Oct. 31.
