Woodbury Royals Girls Hockey to Host 10-Team Hockey Preview and Silent Auction

2013 Royals Scrimmage Fest and Silent Auction
Saturday, November 2, 2013 (9:00 AM - 8:00 PM)

Did you know that females still have nearly 1.3 million fewer high school, and more than 63,000 fewer college, sports participation opportunities than males? Off the field, research shows that girls who participate in sports and physical activity are more likely than inactive girls to have better physical and emotional health, get better grades, and are at a reduced risk of getting involved with drugs or becoming a teen parent. Simply put, sports give girls a toolkit for success.

On Saturday, November 2nd, the Woodbury Royals Girls Hockey Team will hold a silent auction as part of their annual Royals Scrimmage Fest. The Royals Girls Hockey Team will host 10 teams from around the area. They are expecting a large crowd from the community, local schools, participating teams, and their fans—many of whom will find the perfect holiday “gift” among our Silent Auction items. Several parents and local businesses have already donated items for the auction. We would love for you to do the same!

As a way of showing our appreciation to each business that partners with us for this event, your company will be listed as a donor in our Auction Guide, which will be published one week before the event. Your company will also be able to display business cards, signs, or posters at the auction table with your donated item(s).

Donated items may include gift baskets, gift certificates, sports or theatre tickets, single gift items, or professional services. If you would like to contribute to the Woodbury Royals Girls Hockey Team in this manner, please contact Bob Schlichenmaier, Vice President of Woodbury Royals Girls Hockey Booster Club by Friday, October 18th. Arrangements will be made for a volunteer to pick up the item(s) from your location. Thank you for your consideration to donate a gift for our Silent Auction!

All proceeds will directly benefit the Woodbury High School Girls Hockey Team as funding for helmets, breezers, uniforms, locker room fees, youth night events, and other team and community related events throughout the season.

If you find that you are unable to give a donation at this time, we still invite you to attend our Royals Scrimmage Fest. It will be held Saturday, November 2nd, (9:00AM-8:00PM) at Bielenberg Sports Center in Woodbury. Admission to this event is free! There will be lots of great hockey, food and beverages, silent auction items to bid on, and a chance to check out the construction progress of the new field house!
