'Clouds' May Debut High in Billboard's Hot 100; #zisforzach Photo Tribute on Instagram

Pixar's "Up" and Zach Sobiech's "Clouds" collide, while his hit song is projected to debut in the top 20 of this week's Billboard's Hot 100 chart and the #zisforzach Instagram tribute grows.

This week’s Hot 100 List will post on Billboard.com on Wednesday, May 29.

“Because of the nature of the single (released on the non-profit Rock the Cause label and distributed by the Orchard) and how coverage of and continuing reaction to his death could impact its reception, forecasting digital sales for "Clouds" this week is difficult. That said, based on early sales data from industry sources, Billboard projects that the single may sell more than 200,000 copies this week (ending Sunday, May 26). Sources suggest it moved more than 30,000 downloads on Monday (20) alone, the day that Sobiech passed away.”

Last week "Clouds" shot up to No. 1 on the iTune’s Charts. As of this writing it is still in the iTune’s Chart’s Top 50, at No. 46. “Clouds” has been viewed on YouTube more than 6 million times.

The proceeds from the sale of "Clouds" and YouTube views benefit the Zach Sobiech Osteosarcoma Fund through the Children's Cancer Research Fund.

Last weekend, CNN aired this interview with Justin Baldoni, of SoulPancake, creator of the viral hit "My Last Days: Meet Zach Sobiech."

This video mash-up of Sobiech’s song “Clouds” with Pixar’s Up got a mention on the Huffington Post last weekend.

The video was uploaded by Amy Krouse Rosenthal, and combines clips from Pixar's 2009 movie "Up" with Sobiech’s song “Clouds.”

Local Photographer Vickey Cummings Weiss began the #zisforzachsobiech to create an Instagram photo gallery for people to post images with the letter "Z" as a tribute to Zach.

"Zach filled our world with beautiful music lets create a beautiful visual tribute for the Sobiech family," she wrote on the Stillwater Patch Facebook page. "I would love to see more Z's to honor Zach Sobiech."

If your not on Instagram you can post the photo on Facebook and tag Vickey Cummings Weiss, message her or email vickey@vickeyweissphotography.com and she said she'll post it for you.
