LWV Meeting

About the LWV

The League of Women Voters (LWV) is an organization of volunteers (women and men at least 18 years old) who believe that our representative democracy needs citizens involved in public decisions.  The LWV is political—advocating for change on selected issues, but not partisan—neither supporting nor opposing political parties or candidates for office.  We encourage informed and active participation in government and influence public policy through education and advocacy.   We sponsor candidate forums for state and local candidates and legislative interviews with elected officials.  We provide grass roots input to the LWV state office about topics of interest to our local citizens.

To learn about these and other LWV activities, members and interested parties are invited to the Woodbury/Cottage Grove LWV chapter meeting on October 15, 2012, 7:30 p.m. at the Woodbury Lutheran Church (7380 Afton Road).  The meeting is free and open to the public.
