Get Out: What To Do In Woodbury This Weekend

Woodbury's weekend entertainment guide to royalty, nooks, and an old monastery.

Thursday, the one day Woodbury Patch loves telling you what to do.



When: Friday, Oct. 7 at 4:30 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: Show your Royal spirit by watching the Homecoming Parade that will start at Royal Oaks Elementary and will march down Queens Drive to .
Price: Free



When: Saturday, Oct. 8 from 8-11 a.m.
Where:
Why Go: Visitors will get to tour all the “nooks and crannies” usually closed off to the public, including the sherriff’s residence, the old jail, and the dome overlooking the St. Croix River.

When: Saturday, Oct. 8 from 1 to 2 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: The Metro Mosquito Control District will host a presentation in the Amphitheater regarding these pesky insects and how to reduce the risk of contracting Lyme Disease.
Price: Free



When: Saturday, Oct. 8 at 1 p.m.
Where: Maplewood Nature Center (2659 East 7th St., Maplewood)
Why Go: The Friends of Maplewood Nature will celebrate the nature center with lunch, a presentation on Remarkable Reptiles and a hike through the beautiful autumn colors.
Price: Free for Friends Members; Friends Membership $15 for singles or $25 for a household.



When: Sunday, Oct. 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Where: Harriet Tubman Center East (1725 Monastery Way, Maplewood)
Why Go: Take an opportunity to visit the former St. Paul's Monastery. The afternoon will consist of site tours, a scavenger hunt, treats, brief program with community leaders, and a chance to watch the Vikings game on a big screen TV.
