How Early is Too Early in Woodbury?

When you're planning some loud work on weekend mornings, when do you start?

It’s probably a conversation you’ve had with friends… and maybe an unpleasant conversation you’ve had with neighbors.

How early is too early to fire up the lawnmower or power saw on a weekend morning?

This topic came up on the Woodbury Patch Facebook page over the weekend. I got the idea from my uncle's Facebook page. He asked:

In order to be good neighbor, what is a reasonable time to start using a saws all outside on a Saturday?

Here’s what people had to say. What do you think? Tell us in the comments section below.

Daniel: 9am?

Rachel: Does he live in our neighborhood?!?! One of our neighbors just finished cutting something...

Kari: 10 am

Brandon: 9am

Patch: No, he's a St. Paul guy Rachel.

Lindsey: I'd say 10am, most people want to SLEEP IN. Give notice, and it’s usually fine though.

Robert: I say no earlier than 9:30

Amelia: Not before I wake up!

Junie: The guy next door to me started jack hammering up his cement yard at 7:30am one Sunday morning. :(

Kim: 9am. Though everywhere I've lived, there's always someone who has to do those things at 7

Doreen: 10am

Michele: 9

Patch: Is it the same for Sundays? Or does it get pushed back (or up) a little?

Ken: What is a Saturday to a 24/7 public servant. What is morning.

Michele: Sundays are a day of rest:-) 11

Angie: I think 10:00 on both days!

Sara: 8:30

Denise: I'm less concerned with it being early than I am with it being late. During the summer there is always someone mowing or using a power saw or something at 8-9PM because it's still light out... but hard to get my kids to bed with that racket going on!

Lisa: Same time as starting up the lawn mower; after 10 am.

Jim: No earlier than 9 am.

Amy: 10am. I would say 9 but that could bug a few folks…

Kris: 9

Diane: I'm going to day 9am but I really would prefer 10!
