Late-Season Snow to Continue in Woodbury, Hazardous Weather Outlook in Effect

A mixture of sleet and snow is expected to develop after midnight.

The Woodbury area saw a bit of fresh snow Thursday morning, and the Minnesota State Patrol reported slick driving conditions that resulted in several spinouts along the 94 corridor in the east metro.

No serious incidents were reported.

According to the National Weather Service:

"A MIXTURE OF SLEET AND SNOW WILL DEVELOP AFTER MIDNIGHT. LITTLE OR NO ICE ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED.

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

SNOW IS EXPECTED TO BE THE PRIMARY PRECIPITATION TYPE NORTH OF INTERSTATE 94. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE DAY ON FRIDAY.

A LATE-SEASON WINTER STORM APPEARS LIKELY LATE SUNDAY INTO MONDAY NIGHT...WITH SNOW ACCUMULATIONS LIKELY IN THE OUTLOOK AREA. IN ADDITION...VERY STRONG WINDS ARE EXPECTED ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE SYSTEM...WITH BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW POSSIBLE."
