New Centenarian in Woodbury Plays with Musical Hero

Peter Ostroushko made a Woodbury man's day with a little music last week.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press caught up with a Woodbury resident celebrating his 100th birthday with a truly once-in-a-lifetime event.

Lloyd Johnson, a resident of Stonecrest Senior Living center had always wanted to play his fiddle with virtuoso Peter Ostroushko. Staff and family made it happen.

"I don't know what I've done to deserve 100 years," Johnson told the paper.

Ostroushko is a renowned violin player, performing with everyone from Bob Dylan to the great Willie Nelson. He's one of Minnesota's most well-known musicians.
