This weekend probably had your mind buzzing with possibilities for some landscaping.

Whether you want to add some bright colors or green to your yard, these local spots should have what you need.

The question isn't, "What can you buy?" at Menards' garden center. It's, "What can't you buy?" Whether it's plants themselves, a trellis for them to climb up or a fountain for them to sit beside, Menards has it covered.

Mills Fleet Farm's garden center also offers a wide selection of plants and garden accessories from flowers to vegetables to young trees.

Linder's (in the parking lot)

While not as large as Oakdale's other garden centers, Linder's wins the award for convenience since you can get your groceries and your green stuff in one place. This center has all the basics, including flowers, hanging plants and vegetables.

If you're looking for shade plants, Woodbury Patch columnist Angela Johnson trying Wal-Mart and Home Depot, where she's found some for under $12 each. Both have a fairly wide selection of other plants, as well.
