Snapshot: Giving Back With O’Malley’s Men’s Club

The Woodbury group has also helped make the season bright for a few local families.

What was once a strictly social gathering of friends has turned into a group focused on philanthropic enterprises in Woodbury.

The O’Malley’s Men’s Club recently spent a day cleaning up Seasons Park, which the group has “adopted” for the next two years, according to member Keith Schwartz.

Other charitable endeavors undertaken by the club over the past few months include:

  • a $100 donation to a 4-year-old girl who needs open-heart surgery;
  • a $500 donation to the Oakdale location of the Special Olympics (the gift will help the Spartan Special Olympics provide equipment and scholarships for athletes who have limited resources);
  • a $150 donation to the Christian Cupboard that provided Thanksgiving meals for three families; and
  • an agreement to sponsor two local families for Christmas.
