Top Stories of 2012, No. 10: Woodbury is for Cheaters?

As we count down to the New Year, here’s a rundown of the most-viewed stories on Patch in 2012.

Editor’s note: This post was certainly a talker. I got tips via Facebook and Twitter about the list, which was part of a segment on a local radio station. The story also garnered a blog post from Michelle Scheuermann. See: A Member of the Happy Wives Club

Here's the story, .

Infidelity in Woodbury

Are you in a loving, committed relationship?

Woodbury is the No. 1 city in the Twin Cities metro area when it comes to extra-marital affairs, according to a KDWB report from ashleymadison.com, a website that links people looking to cheat on their spouse.

“Though Minnesota may be considered the epicenter of Midwestern values, our membership has grown exponentially in the Twin Cities this summer. Despite many couples doing a great job of keeping up appearances, all is not always what it appears,” said Noel Biderman, Ashley Madison CEO, on the KDWB website.

The list, via KDWB’s post:

  1. Woodbury
  2. Edina
  3. Coon Rapids
  4. Plymouth
  5. Eagan
  6. Downtown
  7. Wayzata
  8. Minnetonka
  9. Apple Valley
  10. Maplewood

Not buying into this. Thinking it is just a gimick to bring attention this site....the adult site that is....not the Patch. Love the Patch.

Yeah, it's hard to put a ton of stock in it Rob.

That was Woodbury's rep in the Twin Cities long before KDWB put that list up. When we first moved to Woodbury from another 'burb, our new neighbors even joked about it at the welcome-to-the-neighborhood BBQ. They weren't surprised to learn that we already knew the rep.

Yeah, I've heard that too SomeGuy, and there was some pretty frank discussion in the comments section of the original post.
